Epic Wins Excellence Award at ASPAC 2010
Verifone Inc. the world leader in secure payment devices conducted the ASPAC Customer & Partner Forum 2010 in Taipei, Taiwan from June 8-10, 2010. This event featured a program to provide excellent opportunity for stakeholders to meet with and network with other partners across the region, as well as to listen to industry and technology leaders. Epic Lanka was awarded the Verifone Circle of Excellence Award in recognition of their innovative technology solutions.
With an extensive representation of technology partners, one of the highlights of the event was the Partner Exhibit and Demo Showcase that featured demos and product showcases from partners throughout the Asia Pacific region. Viraj Mudalige, Director/General Manager of Epic Lanka presented their innovations to Verifone distributors and technology partners from Europe and the Asia Pacific.
The Epic Terminal Line Encryption solution that has been introduced to combat payment card frauds was recognized as an Excellent Innovation and the demonstrations were also done in several languages including German and Mandarin. With participation from customers across South East Asia, China, Australia, New Zealand, Korea and India, Epic innovations in the areas of Encryption and Branchless Banking received attention of all technology partners and though leaders in the global electronic payment industry.
Epic Lanka reached the pinnacle of the software industry in Sri Lanka by winning an unprecedented number of over 30 national and international accolades during 2008 and 2009. This includes the National Business Excellence Award in ICT for two consecutive years, the highest number of awards at the National Best Quality Software Awards for the past 3 consecutive years, the first ever Gold Award for Sri Lanka for a locally designed and developed commercial software at the Asia Pacific ICT Awards 2008 and the Runner up award in APICTA 2009. The company successfully commenced operations in Malaysia and Australia in their quest of making Epic a global brand of innovative ICT solutions from Sri Lanka, said Shanta R Yapa, Head of Corporate Communications of Epic Lanka.
